The aluminum arrow is a success. It was pioneered byWilliam Folberth of Cleveland about the year of 1930. Fol-berth is an inventor and has precision machinery of his own

with plenty of time to devote to experimentation. After try-ing out various alloys of aluminum with various diameters andwall thicknesses, he came up with an arrow that astonishedthe archery world.

The symbol of this alloy is 24SRT—, a very hard alloy withmore spring than any other type. The diameter is l/4 inch-some were 17/64 inches. The wall thickness ranges from .012inches to .020 inches. Up until the federal governmentbanned the use of aluminum for arrows, a number of fletcherswere producing arrow from it.
