Then again, the spine of a wooden arrow will vary withtemperature changes, get stiffer when the temperature fallsand get softer when the thermometer goes up. The differencewill not be great but enough to affect one's score by severalpoints.

The aluminum arrow eliminates all these variations.

Up until the ban on aluminum, the observer would seealuminum arrows predominating in all the big tournaments.Those of us who may be unlucky enough not to have a re-serve set or so will probably have to use wooden arrows untilthe ban is lifted. Many will cry "Oh, woe is me!"
