OHIO

Ohio has special reserves for small game where they maybe hunted with the bow. There are no special reservationsfor bow hunting only. There was a deer season in 1949 and1950 during which deer could be taken with shotguns usingslugs or with the bow. There was no deer season in 1951.Whether or not there will be a deer season in 1952 will de-pend on the results of a "deer count" now in progress. The

OREGON

Oregon has special seasons for bow hunters in specifiedareas. Mt. Emily game refuge, September 8 to September 23;Canyon Creek refuge, Grant County, September 8 to 21;Tillamook, Tillamook County, September 8 to 23; CrowCreek game refuge, September 8 to 23; Clatskanie, ColumbiaCounty, September 8 to 23. Bag limit in any of these areasis one deer of either sex. Hunters must have permits withthem while hunting. No extra charge is made for these per-mits to persons holding a regular hunting license and deertag. Bows must be 40 lbs. or over; arrows must weigh 1 oz.(437 1/2 grains) or over and equipped with barbless broad-heads not less than 7/8 of an inch in width.
