How To Shoot : Page 140

Every archer who is learning to shoot will experienceslumps (the English call it the rots). This is caused by some-thing that he is unconsciously doing wrong. The best thingto do in such an event is to sit down and think the problemthrough. Ask yourself if you are keeping the bow arm up, isthe wrist of your bow hand straight, are you gripping thebow before the arrow has cleared, are you crooking your draw-ing hand, are you plucking. Chances are that plucking is thecause, or it could well be the dropping of the bow hand. Havesome other archer watch you shoot and point out your errors.

When you reach a point where you can immediately layyour finger on the cause of any wild arrow and know what todo to correct it, you are on the road to success.
