If you are unable to get metal arrows, you will have toselect wooden ones. Get matched arrows. Footed arrows costmore than self arrows but whether they are better or not is a
debatable question. Personally, I like self arrows; they arelighter by at least 30 grains and 30 grains can make a notice-able difference in the point of aim at 100 yards. The lighterthe arrow the greater the velocity, the greater the velocitythe flatter the trajectory, the flatter the trajectory the lowerthe point of aim. One should not be satisfied with a point ofaim that is not under the target at 100 yards.
When you get the feel of the new equipment you will bepleasantly surprised at the way your score goes up. It is pos-sible to be shooting 600 Americans and over 500 Yorks thefirst season.
