Place bale No. 1 on this base as shown in Fig. 37.Stand bale No. 2 on the center of bale No. 1, thenstand bale No. 3 on the right of No. 2 and bale No. 4on the left. Cap these with bale No. 5.

Pass two wires (No. 10 galvanized) around thestructure as shown in Fig. 37a. Pull these wires as tightlyas possible with the pliers and fasten. Insert a short, stoutstick between these wires; one on each side of the target,and use them as levers to twist these wires until thewhole target is rigid.

Make a wooden wedge about 3 inches wide and useit to pound straw in the cracks between the bales.
