cover and it was still raining. He examined the trail but couldnot make much of the tracks because of the rain. It was stillearly and he knew he had plenty of time to construct ablind before the deer would be returning from the orchard.

He saw two saplings growing about three feet apart aroundwhich grew a cluster of honeysuckle, but these bushes wereonly about waist high. He lashed a branch from one saplingto the other and another branch to a bush in the rear. Hedraped his slicker over this framework and covered it withbrush. He walked up and down the trail and looked it over;it looked natural enough. This gave him shelter as well asconcealment. After making some final adjustments so that hehad an opening through which he could watch and shoot, hegot in a position to wait.
