It is most difficult to find an old Indian bow. All oldwooden items have a way of disappearing. Of the hundredsof thousands of bows used in England, when the bow was aweapon of war, only two authentic specimens are preservedtoday. It has not been very long ago—within the lifetime ofmen still living—that the Indian was making and using bows.Yet, when one tries to find a genuine Indian bow he has adifficult task.
